Rockaway Surf Report No Comments

Rockaway 91-95 streets

The build has slowed down. Yesterday it went from flat to about waist to chest high in a few hours. Winds were SE which is ideal for building swell, the winds switched later in the day and overnight to straight S which doesn’t really help out too much. This morning waves are a little smaller, about waist high. Marine forecasts are calling for SE winds again today 20 -25 mph. If that is the case we should see solid surf later today and hopefully leftovers in the morning. The front is expected to go by this evening and winds turn W and gusty. But forecasts are calling for a long fetch of winds with this frontal sysytem so swell could be strong enough to fight the wind overnight. Tomorrow,  I think the call is Jersey!

Low Tide 5:51am

High Tide  12:29 pm
