The September Nor’WHOCARES, WE GOT SKUNKED!

I’m gonna go nuts! Solid 8 foot…..and pretty much unsurfable for two days. I mean it was surfed everywhere, but motivation was hard to come by. Welcome to NY. If the wind would have let up just for a little bit, it would have gone down as another classic, but this one goes into the book as one of the worst kick in the boys. I stood up on the boardwalk for a total of four or five hours, drove all over rockaway, wet, cold, just waiting for something to change. I think everyone was waiting. I should have just paddled out, but I swore it was gonna get better. This was a typical nor’easter swell but the LOW was never able to kick out, instead it just stayed on top of us. The wind let up a little today, Saturday the 12th, but the waves left, and its still onshore…..Sometimes we win, but most of the time we lose. Heres a few that could have been surfed in between wind and rain squalls.
